Enjoy Professional Care in Your Own Home
Home Dialysis Centers proudly offers Assisted Home Hemodialysis (AHD) as a crucial part of our comprehensive home dialysis services. This option is ideal for patients who prefer or require professional assistance with their dialysis treatments at home.

What is Assisted Home Hemodialysis?
Key Features of Assisted Home Hemodialysis
Professional Assistance
A trained dialysis PCT or hemodialysis RN performs all aspects of the dialysis session, including setup, monitoring, and breakdown of equipment, as well as management of the dialysis process.
No Training Required
Patients choosing AHD do not need to undergo the training typically required for traditional home hemodialysis. This makes it a suitable option for those who may find the training challenging.
Comprehensive In-Home Care
Beyond dialysis, our PCTs also handle lab draws, medication administration related to dialysis, and regular communication with your nephrology care team.

Benefits of Assisted Home Hemodialysis
- Ease and Convenience: Receive high-quality dialysis treatments without leaving your home or learning to self-administer dialysis.
- Safety and Comfort: Dialysis is performed by professional staff, ensuring treatments are conducted safely and comfortably in your home environment.
- Continuous Clinical Support: Regular updates and coordination with your nephrologist ensure that your treatment plan remains optimal and responsive to your health needs.
Patient Qualification and Insurance Coverage
Assisted Home Hemodialysis is typically not covered by standard insurance plans, including Medicare. However, some private insurance plans with PPO policies may cover the cost. We are ready and willing to assist our patients in navigating their coverage options and exploring alternative payment solutions to ensure they receive the care they need.
At Home Dialysis Centers, we serve the full spectrum of patients with kidney disease no matter their socioeconomic status and medical acuity. Home Dialysis Centers is the only dialysis provider in southern California offering assisted bedside home hemodialysis, regardless of financial status and medical acuity. This includes patients with trach/vent, LVAD, and bariatric surgery. Although not all patients within these categories will qualify for home hemodialysis, those who do will benefit from personalized care in the comfort of their own homes, close to family and loved ones, so that they can enjoy a better quality of care and living.
